Pre-operative Care

You will receive a pre-op call from one of our nurses to help you prepare for your surgery.  We will go over your health history, your medications and answer any questions you may have.

Your surgeon will visit you on the day of surgery to address any last-minute questions or concerns, and ensure that there have been no changes in your health status since your pre-operative appointment. They will also discuss the details of the procedure, and outline the treatment plan. You will also meet with your anesthesiologist and some of your surgical team. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions, express concerns, and ensure that you are fully informed and prepared for your surgery.

Recovery Care

Once your surgery is complete you will be taken to the first phase of recovery where you will be closely monitored by our highly qualified RN’s until you are awake and in stable condition, this time varies depending on the patient and the procedure performed. Once you are stable you will be moved to the second and final phase of recovery, during this time your support person can be with you. You will be provided with nourishment and made comfortable before going over your discharge instructions. These instructions are to be used in conjunction with information given to you by your surgeon, it is intended to help prepare you for what to expect when you go home. You will receive a follow up call the next business day to see how your recovery is progressing.
