Staff Nurse LPN

‍Position Summary

We are seeking a flexible candidate who has interest in learning and assisting with surgical procedures in the operating room setting. This position requires strong clinical and critical thinking skills and the ability to provide individualized patient care in various clinical departments based on the patient census throughout the Surgery Center. The LPN assists the department managers in the daily operations of the clinical areas and functions as a liaison for patients and physicians while delivering high standards of patient care and safety in accordance with SCSO policies and procedures, Oregon Nurse Practice Act, local, state, and federal regulations, accreditation standards and professional best practice under the supervision of the responsible RN.

Education, Training & Experience

Willing to train the right candidate in a perioperative scrub nurse role

Graduate of an accredited schoolof nursing

Current unencumbered Oregon LPN license

Current BLS

Possess critical thinking skillsand knowledge in recognizing, evaluating and solving problems

Possess excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees
