Position: Operating Room Nurse
Location: Surgery Center of Southern Oregon
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, assessing vital signs and responding to changes in condition
Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgeries, ensuring a sterile and safe environment
Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, clinical skills and knowledge
Provide and maintain high standards of patient care and safety in the operating room
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
Plan and implement nursing care and actions to achieve expected outcomes; continuously assesses all components of patient care based on changing data
Conduct safety procedures with full command of the OR team (Fire Risk Assessment, Time-out, Surgical Safety Checklist
Monitor and control the OR environment
Document accurate, complete and timely information in the medical record; maintains accurate accounting and documentation of controlled drugs

Requirements:

· One year of experience as a Registered Nurse

· Recent perioperative nursing experience

· Must have unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license by the Oregon StateBoard of Nursing

· Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified through theAmerican Heart Association (AHA) required upon start

· ACLS certification required upon start (or within 90 days of employment)
