We are seeking a full time G.I. Endoscopy Technician / G.I. Medical Assistant for our fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. The technician works directly with the physician performing G.I. endoscopic procedures and functions as an instrument reprocessor using strict infection control practices. G.I. Medical Assistants work directly with nursing staff to provide efficient patient centered care.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• Required
o Previous training in healthcare related field
o Strong knowledge of principles of infection control
o Current BLS
o Possess excellent communication skills and ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with physicians and staff
• Preferred
o 1 year of endoscopy technical experience or clinical experience in a related healthcare field
o Endoscopy Technician Certification
o Medical Assistant Certification
o Certified Nurses Aide
